Become a Foster Home Today & Start Saving Lives!
If you have room in your home and in your heart for a temporary pet, we have the need for safe, loving, and committed homes. We are looking for homes within 60 miles of the Twin Cities. The commitment to become a foster home will consist of making room in your family for a new member, making time to take foster pets to vet appointments or adoption days, and making a safe and supportive environment for animals that may have had traumatic pasts.
Ask any one of our current foster homes this is a great way to help pets find their forever home. What better way to make a difference in many lives than to make adoptions possible. Every week our organization has to make difficult decisions about which dogs and cats we can save from euthanasia. Unfortunately, we are not able to save every adoptable animal held in animal control facilities from euthanasia because of our limited number of foster homes. If you want to become a part of the solution, consider becoming a foster home.
Underdog Rescue will provide food and crates to foster homes for the animal to use during their stay.

What Does it take to be an Underdog Foster Family?
Fostering includes making room in your family for a new member, making time to take foster pets to vet appointments or adoption days, and making a safe and supportive environment for animals that may have had traumatic pasts.
Beyond that, we've learned that our happiest foster families are those who understand the natural constraints of small volunteer based organizations. We run as lean as we can to put every available resource into saving as many animals as we can. Help is always welcome and flexibility is enormously appreciated. Underdog Rescue will provide food and crates to foster homes for the animal to use during their stay. On average our sponsored pets remain in our care for 1-2 months.
