Hello, my name is Joey. I am a very handsome albeit almost toothless senior Yorkie and foster mom says I’m “awesome!” which is totally true!! Sure, I’m a bit timid but I am the sweetest guy EVER and I’m really starting to come out of my shell. In fact, I allow foster mom to see a bit more of my amazing personality every single day! For example, she learned quickly that I love to nap on the couch, or a comfy bed and I get super excited at mealtime! That said, since I’m sans most of my teeth, I prefer soft things like liverwurst (hint, hint)!
Due to my small size, young kids are not a good fit for me, but I am good with cats and other small dogs like me. By the way, I will need a small doggie companion at my new home and fenced yard where we can safely frolic and explore; I currently try to play with my resident fur sibs, but they play a little too rough which scares me. I could use more leash practice and I will bark when I’m in the kennel/crate because, well let’s face it…who wants to be confined am I right!?! Thankfully, foster mom is wonderful and allows me to sleep on the bed with her and my resident fur sibs. As for potty training, I do great at going outside when given the opportunity, but I must admit that when I’ve gotta go, I’ve gotta go and since I like to keep my family on their toes, I only give about a one-second warning before I go in the house. Needless to say, it would be great if my new family could be home with me so I can be taken outside regularly.
Anyway, I really am an incredibly sweet boy who deserves a life full of snuggles & fluffy blankets from a patient fur-ever family who will love me unconditionally and NEVER give up on me! I promise I’m worth it and the joy we will add to each other’s lives will be immeasurable! Love, Joey
