Hi I'm Buzz!  I'm a happy little guy looking for my perfect family.  I enjoy playing outside and running in the grass enjoying the sun and wind in my face.  If you're my person I get happy wiggles and enjoy scratches and pets.  With new people I can be a bit quirky.  If I don't know you I ask that you give me a moment to know you're safe.  I'll admit I'm better with women than men.  If I'm pushed too quick I sometimes mouth you.  It's not a bite and I leave no mark whatsoever but your hand or finger is in my mouth for just a moment. I do ok with slow intros with calm dogs that ignore me but I would love to be an only dog so I don't have to share your love.  I'd likely be best in a home without kids.  I'm sure you're kids are great but I don't think they're for me.  I love walks and I know how to potty on leash or in a fenced yard if you have it.  I'm kennel trained and doing well on potty training.  I just need a patient family who will love me and give me a chance and you'll see what a great dog I really am.  Are you my perfect match?

Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. ADOPTION EVENTS:     

Adoption events are updated as the foster home RSVP's to attend. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. You may wish to consider applying and setting up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved.

Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.

FOSTER CARE:

All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves. NUTRITION:

Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
