Hi, my name is Shauna and I am a happy and lovely girl with a very goofy grin. I am so happy to be in a loving foster home that gives me fun experiences and a safe space so I can learn at my own pace. I needed a little time and space to decompress, sniff and get used to my surroundings. And now look at me! You would be amazed! I am addicted to belly rubs, zoomies and treats.

There are so many NEW things I experienced for the first time. What are those things you call stairs? I call them cliffs! What is that loud machine that warms up the blanket for my kennel – oh the dryer! Oh man – I need to walk through a door to go outside – I can do it! All these new things can be overwhelming, but I want you to know that I have made incredible strides and am brave and curious about my new world.

I have really started showing my foster family my silly side and personality. I love to give kisses and get pets, just know that I take a while to warm up to people and feel trust. My people have been giving me treats, chew toys and bones and I have started to figure out what I am supposed to do – I am very smart! And I’ve learned that I love chew bones!

Because I don’t have much leash experience, I do require a fenced yard in my forever home. Sometimes I get a little worried around cars – I will walk waaayyy around them. Also, I like to do the zoomies with the other dogs in the yard – my daily exercise is good for me!

I require another confident and social dog in my forever home to teach me new things. Having another dog will help me get on a routine and build confidence when learning about all the new house things and interacting with my people. Once I know and feel that I am safe, I can begin to increase my confidence. As my confidence grows and my trust grows I will be able to get more comfortable with my family.

I want to find my perfect home and live the happy, safe and loving life that I deserve. All I need now is your unconditional love, belly rubs and a snuggly bed. Can’t wait to meet you!

**Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a  particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit.  Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.
