Hi, I’m Brea and I am new here! I am an adventurous, playful, and sweet lady that loves pretty much everything! I am happy when I get the zoomies outside, play with other dogs, go on a walk, go to the vet, play with toys, or snuggle with my foster family. I am ready to do almost anything but occasional get nervous if I get startled. With some support and encouragement, I can bounce back quickly.
I have been working hard on potty training and with a schedule I do a really good job! I am not yet perfect but am very close! I have been doing very well on my walks and the more I go on the better I will be! I go in my kennel nicely, though I can whine a little at first. I settle nicely and generally only bark to let my humans know I need to go potty.
I do not need to have another dog at the home, but I do really love playing! If I do not have another doggie friend at the house, I will need a good amount of exercise! Whether that is walking, playing with toys, going on errands, I will need stimulation to help me stay out of trouble! After a good walk, or playtime, I would love to end the day snuggled with my humans! I cannot wait to meet my furever family soon!
*Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. ADOPTION EVENTS:
Adoption events are updated as the foster home RSVP's to attend. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. You may wish to consider applying and setting up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved.
ADOPTION PROCEDURE:
FOSTER CARE:
All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves. NUTRITION:
Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets. All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet. All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
