Hi I'm  Emma   Jean !  I'm an adorable little lady who is just happy as can be!  I can be a little shy when meeting new people, but if you're my person you will see the most loving little girl in the world!  I will jump into your lap so you'll snuggle and cuddle with me and I'll flip onto my back so I can get belly rubs.  Those are just heaven!  In return I will be giving you so many kisses and you'll be laughing with me in seconds!  I like treats, but I'll admit I will go for attention and praise from you every time.  I've been working on my leash skills, but I think that leash thing is kind of weird.  I bet you could help with it!  Until then, I do need a fenced in yard because I don't understand that leash thing and won't move much.  I don't love my kennel and will bark for a bit when you first leave me.  After a bit though I settle down and nap and dream of you coming back home to me so I can listen to you talk about your adventures while you were gone. Then we can snuggle up in front of the TV and I'll nap in your lap knowing you love me and you'll know that I love you too.

Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. ADOPTION EVENTS:     

Adoption events are updated as the foster home RSVP's to attend. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. You may wish to consider applying and setting up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved.

Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.

FOSTER CARE:

All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves. NUTRITION:

Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
