Just look at my cute little face.  Oh wait, you did!  Well, I’m just as sweet as I look.  It took me a while, but I’m finally feeling more comfortable in my foster home and gaining more confidence each day! I do need another dog in my forever home to help me gain confidence and get on a routine. I know that having a friendly and social dog in my forever home will help me thrive!

I like chewing on a bully stick and when my people pet me softly. I did get startled, but am trying really hard to be brave. I’m admittedly afraid of loud noises and can be a little skittish. I am learning so many things - mirrors intrigue me and when I am curious about something, my ears perk up and sometimes I’ll give you the cute little head tilt.

My foster mom thinks I was royalty in my past life as I prefer my meals served on the couch verses the floor. And I refuse to eat unless it is presented on the sofa. My foster mom is working on changing that – really it just gives us more time together and who wouldn’t want to spend time with me!  Also, I like to sleep in a dog bed near my people. I don’t snore much so I’m sure you won’t mind me snoozing near you.

I do need a fenced yard in my forever home as I am a timid dog. We have tried going on some walks, but I need a lot more practice. But I am amazing at potty training! If you keep me on a good schedule I do great!

All I need now is a forever home with lots of patience, unconditional love and someone that is ready for a cute and gentle companion.

Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. ADOPTION EVENTS:   

Adoption events are updated as the foster home RSVP's to attend. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. You may wish to consider applying and setting up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved.

FOSTER CARE:

All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves. NUTRITION:

Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
