Some people worry if the new dog they will adopt is a heavy barker, well lucky you, I’m not! I only bark when I’m alarmed. But as for what I do loudly – snore! Well, at least that’s what my foster mom says and I will have to take her word for it. She claims I’m the LOUDEST snorer she’s ever met. I wonder if that means I should get extra treats. **wink wink** I do love my treats and an occasional Nyla bone.
I’m overall very docile. I’m great with other dogs of all sizes (even the active puppy in the home) and look to them for comfort and reassurance, so I would like that in my forever home. I don’t necessarily play with them but watch them for direction and comfort.
I like keeping an eye on the humans in the house but am still very shy and don’t like too much physical touch, but I’m getting better at that every day. I do fine in the kennel once I’m in there but have trouble going in by myself. I do sleep with my foster mom and the other dogs in the house just fine but will sleep in a dog bed too.
I’d really like a fenced yard as I haven’t mastered going on a leash to do my business (yes, I’m fully potty trained!) but I have walked while leashed. I also enjoy exploring untethered too. I came into rescue after weening puppies and with a leg that I can’t put weight on from not healing properly after a break years ago. It doesn’t slow me down at all – I can still run and do stairs! Ideally, I’d rather not have to have a home with steep steps or a long flight to go up and down frequently. I balance well and can still use it to pull my toys closer to me or hold onto my bone when I chew it. The vet says I am the way I am now and I think it just makes me more unique and more cute - do you agree?
All I need now is a forever family with lots of patience while I gain confidence and unconditional love to help me learn to trust. I am a very snorey … I mean sweet girl that deserves the best!
