Hello, my name is Diva. I’m a stunning young adult female Chihuahua mix who is initially cautious with new people, but I warm up quickly so beware because I am quite the little bundle of love who loves to snuggle and give kisses!! By the way, MY kisses are second-to-none so get ready to be swept off your feet! Hee, hee!!

My best friend in the world is Jazzabel, I call her ‘Jazzy’! She is a Chihuahua mix like me and we go EVERYWHERE together. I don’t play much but when I’m feelin’ froggy and Jazzy has reassured me that everything is ok, I will show my silly side and get SUPER playful, I will even try to get the other doggies involved! Hee, hee!! I also enjoy playing with all types of toys, but my favorites are Skineez. I am usually not a big barker but if my bestie barks I will too! I do my business outside and on potty pads and I don’t have a lot of crate or leash training so a fenced yard would be amazing! I am a very smart lady who knows commands like “sit”, “down”, “leave it”, “go potty”, “come” and “outside” and although I’ve not yet met any cats, I’m very docile so I think I’d be ok with them. Kids on the other paw, are not a good fit for me because I’m so little and fragile…I mean seriously, my legs are long and thin like the thickness of a human thumb! Hee, hee!

Anyway, Jazzy and I may be little, but our love-filled hearts pack a punch! All we need now is YOU… a patient, unconditionally loving fur-ever family who promises to NEVER give up on us. If you welcome both me and my BFF into your life and I assure you that we will love you more than you could EVER possibly imagine!! Love, Diva

Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. ADOPTION EVENTS:   

Adoption events are updated as the foster home RSVP's to attend. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. You may wish to consider applying and setting up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved.

Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.

FOSTER CARE:

All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves. NUTRITION:

Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
