Hello! My name is Hawking and I’m looking for some humans to let me be their shadow, snuggle, and help me build my confidence. I may not be a young puppy anymore, but I’m still learning a lot! I have heard about these things called “cats.” I haven’t met any of them. Do you think I’d like them? Or would they like me? I don’t know, yet. I’m also learning how to play with toys and I just found out that some of them are HARD and CHEWY which is AMAZING! I love to wrestle and play with my foster sibling. It would be helpful if there was another dog to wrestle with me and help teach me how to dog, because I just LOVE to learn!
My foster humans have taught me lots of things, and I love how proud of me they get when I do things like “Sit,” “Stay,” “Come,” “Kennel/Crate,” and “Potty Outside.” I haven’t had any problems with knowing where to go potty and I’ve always been great at going outside. However, the humans wanted me to remind you that, sometimes, as I adjust to a new home and routine, accidents can happen. My fosters also seem pretty happy that I haven’t felt the need to bark too much. But if I get a little alarmed, I will let you know with my voice.
Also, as much as I love to snuggle, I’m still building my confidence, so I think I’d do best in a home with older kids who can be gentle, calm, patient, and respectful with me. I love being with my humans. I don’t mind sleeping in my kennel at night so long as my human is nearby to make me feel safe. So, if you can provide me with lots of time, patience, and snuggles, I’d love to make my safe place with you!
