Hello, my name is Mitch! I’m a sweet and silly mini poodle. I’ve been so busy learning about the good life. I am still a little skittish but boy-oh-boy, do I love some affection. I crave attention but I’m still learning people are good. I LOVE it when my people give my scritches and snuggles. I do a little wiggle butt dance in front of foster mom until she gives me some attention. Once I get to know my people – watch out because I have so much love to give! Hopefully my forever family loves some snuggles when we snooze!
While there are so many new things I’m experiencing, Loud noises and overwhelming commotion are scary to me, so I hope my forever home is able to be patient with me as I explore all there is in this new world. Foster mom says that I am a very brave boy and she is so excited to see me show my silly personality. I have even started to play with toys – my favorite ones are the crinkly ones! I also like a nylabone and other chew toys. Yum!
Because I’m working on leash training, I don’t necessarily need a fenced yard. I enjoy walking but will need more practice when the weather warms up. I am a potty-training super star and am great going outside on a routine - even in the cold weather! I will need more practice in my forever home, but with a good routine I know I will be a success! I’m being crate-trained, so if you share a common wall with a neighbor, be mindful that I sometimes bark when left alone or kenneled.
I’ve learned so much from the other dog in my foster home and that has helped me learn about all the wonderful things so a home with another dog is required as this is who I will learn from the quickest. Another social, friendly and confident dog will show me how to trust people and help me get on a routine.
All I need now is a forever family with lots of patience, unconditional love and a spot for sweet little me next to you on the couch.
