Hi I'm Phoebe!  I'm a lovely little lady who is sweet as can be.  When I first came into rescue I was described as grumpy.  My foster mama gave me a little space and I figured out in just a couple days that I could trust her.  I like to follow her around and see what she's doing.  Sometimes there are snacks involved so it's always a good idea to be nearby haha!  I really love food and I'm not ashamed to say I will eat my friends food if given a chance.  I enjoy being pet and getting scratches.  Recently I've even begun jumping on mom's leg to ask for pets.  I got so much praise and gave her a happy smile! I'm working on potty and leash training.  I do well in the kennel but do need a potty break every 4-6 hours if you're gone for the work day.  I can use potty pads if your gone longer, but don't always realize I need my whole body on the pad to hit it correctly.  Most of the time I'm a pretty quiet and chill lady.  I prefer another dog in my home to keep showing me the ropes.  That leash thing is weird and new, so a fence is also desired!  I love to lay snuggled up on a soft blanket or a dog bed and nap and dream of being in my new home.  Will you make my dream come true?

Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a  particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit.  Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.

ADOPTION EVENTS:   

Adoption events are updated as the foster home RSVP's to attend. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. You may wish to consider applying and setting up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved.

FOSTER CARE:

All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves. NUTRITION:

Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
