      Guten Tag, my name is G.G., and I am the most beautiful bearded lady you have ever seen. 

      I have a lot of foster siblings and get along with everyone. The only time I have to put them in their place is when they wrestle with each other in my napping area. I need my beauty sleep to look this good.

      I really love my foster Moms, and for reasons I haven’t shared, I don’t care for some men  . With 22 teeth missing, I am more bark than bite, but I am pretty vocal about my dislike for the opposite gender.

      I am crate trained and potty trained on a schedule. I do expect my people to be on their toes because if I go to the door, I don’t give them a lot of time to get me outside.

      I came into rescue with a broken pelvis, which I healed nicely from. Underdog Rescue did extensive medical testing to make sure I didn’t have further skeletal issues, and I got the green light to search for my forever family.

      My ideal family would either not have children, or have older children.  I am nice to children but they can be overwhelming for me if there is too much activity or chaos.  Loud noises cause me to look for an escape plan, or I just flatten to the floor like a pancake, so it’s important that I’m leashed when not in a fenced in area.

      I am entering the retirement phase of my life, and I want to relax and enjoy the good life.  Do you have a lap to snuggle in?  I love belly rubs and my favorite is hugs.  I bury my beard right in my Foster Mom’s necks and give appreciative kisses.

      Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a  particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit.  Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.

      ADOPTION EVENTS:     

      Adoption events are updated as the foster home RSVP's to attend. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. You may wish to consider applying and setting up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved.

      Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.

      FOSTER CARE:

      All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves.       NUTRITION:

      Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
