Hi, I’m Nadia and am an energetic and smart dog! I am the perfect mix of playful and calm. I have the MOST beautiful silky coat that shines from across the room. So far there isn’t a treat or toy that I don’t like – so hopefully my forever home has a big toy box and lots of snacks (hint hint). The ideal home for me would be one that can keep me busy and provide some stimulation and enrichment activities, so I don’t get bored. This means we could be running buddies, learn dog games, chase in the backyard or go on adventures!
I am smart with moderate energy, so I need an active forever family that will maybe take me to fun training or teach me agility. I am generally good with other dogs and LOVE playing with the big active dogs in my foster home and daycare. I don’t need another dog in my forever home because I want to get all your attention. We are working on being a polite host when guests come over and not barking or jumping on visitors. My people have been doing slow introductions with lots of treats so I learn that strangers are friends. I am pretty quick to figure it out and then I am full of kisses! Speaking of people, I am sometimes alerted around strangers, especially men and may bark at them. And sometimes I resource guard my foster mom – it really isn’t my fault since I love her so much but with a firm boundary and correction from my people I do great.
I have so much potential and am a work in progress that would thrive with more training and a routine. I am doing great with most of my dog skills! I am house trained, crate trained and know “come,” “sit,” “down,” “leave it’ – see how smart I am! My people said I am very treat motivated, so have been a joy to train. When I meet you I might just show you that I know how to “shake” too!
We are working on leash training and if you keep working with me I don't need a forever home with a fence. But if you have one, I like zooming around with the other dogs and playing with toys in the yard. When out on walks, I do get anxious around strangers and some other dogs – I bark bark bark at them!
Ready for a sweet, smart, energetic and playful girl – then we are ready to be best friends! I am simply looking for unconditional love in an active family that is ready to continue training me and love me forever. Love, Nadia

ADOPTION EVENTS:
Adoption events are updated as the foster home RSVP's to attend. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. You may wish to consider applying and setting up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved.
ADOPTION PROCEDURE:
FOSTER CARE:
All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves. NUTRITION:
Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets. All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet. All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
