Hi, my name is Frisco and I am a very sweet and gentle Pomeranian. I’ve been told I am cute as a button and have the sweetest smile!
I have a lot of life experience that honestly makes me nearly perfect! I get along great with all dogs, cats and even pet lizards! When no one is looking, I like to play zoomies in the house with my fur sibling. Oh boy, she has shown me so many wonderful things about being a dog like how fun toys, walks, and soft beds are. Another social and friendly dog is required in my forever home to help me learn to be brave, trust people and get on a routine.
Even though I am timid, I love to be near my people. I may not voluntarily snuggle on your lap yet, but I love to cuddle in a comfy bed nearby. I’ve even started sleeping next to my humans on the couch. Where they go, I like to go! If by chance they are going into the kitchen – I am always available for a soft little treat – yummy!! If it’s really yummy, I’ll eat it right from your hand! I used to get very worried when my people tried to pick me up – I would freeze! Now I understand what is going on and with some patience and time I am learning how to snuggle.
I absolutely love going for sniffs…I mean walks…with my humans and fur sibling. I haven’t met a walk I don’t like! Because I do great on a leash, my forever home doesn’t need a fence as long as you promise to take me on daily walks.
Here is a Frisco fun fact – did you know that stairs are one of the most perplexing things? A bunch of tiny cliffs! But do you know how smart I am? I figured it out!! Going up is easier than going down - but I got it! Another little quirk of mine is that I wear a belly band because I sometimes “mark” in the house. Once I settle into my place and know all the smells, I rarely mark, but if I go somewhere new or someone new visits, I tend to mark again. Maybe with some training I could learn!
I sleep quietly in a doggy bed next to my humans and fur sibling– well there is a little snoring once in a while, but let’s just blame foster dad – hee hee! When my family is gone, I tend to bark if my fur sibling isn’t paying attention to me but I do well out of my kennel with my belly band on.
All I need now is a forever home with lots of patience, unconditional love and a spot in your heart to help a tiny little lovebug be the best he can be!
Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.
