Hi I’m Beth!  I came here from Texas.  I found myself extremely pregnant and left at the shelter by my family.  Lucky for me I found myself on a transport van with my new puppies and began a journey north here to Minnesota.  I was a good mama and raised all my pups.  They went on to find homes and I began going through heartworm treatment. 

I’m happy to say I’m now heartworm negative and ready to find my family too.  I just need my heartworm meds year round to be sure those pesky buggers never come back.  I’m a very happy girl who loves to play.  I like ropes and balls, soft toys are fun to rip and bones are just the best!  I’ve do well on potty training and I potty outside on leash.  I do pull some on leash because I get excited about going out to explore.  I’d love a home that would either play with me or take me on a couple good walks per day for exercise.  After that I’m pretty content to snuggle up on the couch with you or in a bed chewing my bones.    I’m good with other calm dogs, but can be bossy with them if they are dogs that play or if a toy is involved.  I just get over excited and that’s when mom steps in to take away the toy or take me out of the situation for a moment to calm down and be a good girl again.  Then I can be back with my friends.  I’d be totally happy being your one and only though too so that I can have all of your love to myself.  I am kennel trained and always keep it nice and clean.  I like all people from adults to kids and would look pretty cute in your family photos don’t you think?

ADOPTION EVENTS:   

Adoption events are updated as the foster home RSVP's to attend. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. You may wish to consider applying and setting up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved.

Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.

FOSTER CARE:

All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves. NUTRITION:

Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
