Hi I'm Twinkle! I came to MN from a shelter in Texas and feel so lucky that my friends at Underdog Rescue brought me to MN! They took one look at me and my big belly and rushed me to a foster home so I could safely have my puppies. Now that all the puppies are adopted, I am ready to find my forever home too.
My friends at Underdog are guessing I am a shepherd mix and only weigh about 45 pounds. I absolutely adore getting petted by my foster family and am a big fan of treats and dinner time. I am very treat motivated and have shown my foster family how smart can be with the incentive of little yummy treats and am making great progress with basic obedience!
I keep myself busy during the day by chewing on bones and snoozing on comfy blankets. I am totally kennel trained and potty trained. Foster mom was worried about my potty training when the weather got colder – but I am so smart it didn’t bother me one bit and I go potty in the yard like a good girl. When the weather is nice, I like to spend time outside in the fenced yard.
We are working on leash training – I am a curious girl and like to explore. If we go for a walk, I like to stop and smell things, but do need some guidance from my people to know that everything is alright. The world outside my fenced yard is a big place and I like sticking close to home. My ideal Forever Home would have a family that gives me lots of love and attention and just a note that I would do best as an only dog. What can I say? I want your love all to myself!

ADOPTION EVENTS:
Adoption events are updated as the foster home RSVP's to attend. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. You may wish to consider applying and setting up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved.
ADOPTION PROCEDURE:
FOSTER CARE:
All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves. NUTRITION:
Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets. All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet. All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
